Free Fire’s 2024 Esports Roadmap introduces debut in mid-year global tournament and Free Fire World Series Global Finals

Garena also recently announced that all local Free Fire leagues will be retitled to carry the FFWS branding. With that, 2024 will usher in several regional and local tournaments such as FFWS Brazil, FFWS Southeast Asia (SEA), FFWS Latin America (LATAM), and FFWS Middle East (MEA).

These changes reflect Free Fire’s continued commitment in bringing fans and players enhanced experiences to enjoy the game, through promoting a standardised esports tournament branding across all markets.

18 Free Fire teams to play in the inaugural mid-year global tournament

The mid-year global tournament will feature 18 Free Fire teams, including the best teams from FFWS SEA Spring, the first splits of FFWS Brazil and FFWS LATAM, and  representatives from MEA and Pakistan.

Additionally, the winner will earn a ticket to compete in the FFWS Global Finals 2024 as the first team to secure a slot in Free Fire’s largest tournament. More details about the tournament in July will be revealed in the coming weeks.

FFWS Global Finals 2024 to star top teams from around the world

The FFWS Global Finals will be held offline this year. Come November, 18 teams from leagues including FFWS SEA Fall, FFWS Brazil, and FFWS LATAM, together with the Free Fire champion from the mid-year global tournament, will convene for a battle to claim the throne.

Fans and players can check out the details in the roadmap video. Stay tuned to the official Garena Free Fire Esports channels for exciting updates:
