Why India has an edge in the Asia Championship 2021

The biggest tournament of the year looms on the horizon. The Free Fire Asia Championship 2021 could be India’s chance to bring home a global trophy! The stakes are higher than ever, but the odds are better than last year. Let us explain why this is so relevant and substantial for India.

After the success of the Free Fire World Series 2021 Singapore that we hosted in May, we were really looking forward to having the second leg of it. We had to regrettably cancel the tournament due to the unforeseen circumstances in the ongoing pandemic. In its place, we are breaking up the global championship into two sections this time. The EMEA Invitational and the Asia Championship. This resembles the likes of what we did last year with the Continental Series.

Team Elite, Total Gaming Esports, PVS Gaming Esports and Desi Gamers Esports will represent India at the FFAC. Team Elite, by winning the India Championship qualified directly for the finals of FFAC. Total Gaming Esports, PVS Gaming Esports and Desi Gamers Esports will have to go through the Play-Ins.

Last year, only two Indian teams - XTZ Esports and CriticalX Elite (now they’re just called Team Elite) went to the Free Fire Continental Series. This time, however, India has 4 teams that will be playing their hearts out on the battlefield. Double the number of soldiers on the ground, double the chances of winning.

Our teams are ready to keep our flag flying high at the Free Fire Asia Championship 2021. Get ready to cheer for your country!
