BLD-Nivesh, the king of Nades becomes the MVP of Week 3 of the FFIC 2021 Fall

We had a word with BLD - Nivesh, the MVP of Week 3 of the Free Fire India Championship 2021 Fall League Stage. He carried his team to the top of Group B with 100 League Points, and got 28 kills throughout the Week 3 of League Stage. His nading skills are what make him a feared opponent. In this interview, he spoke about how he became the nade master and how he plans to win the Grand Finals.

Q. Nades and Nivesh, the two Ns make a dangerous combo. How did you achieve mastery over this?

Thank you for your compliments. I have been following a lot of Battle Royale games, and nading seems to be a very effective way to deal with opponents across all those games. Earlier, I used to throw my grenades higher into the sky to make up for the time difference, so that by the time it reached the opponent, it was ready to detonate. Ever since Garena added the ‘cook grenade’ option, I don’t need to do that. My ability to land hot potatoes has become better. When I combine that with the Beaston pet, my range of throwing the grenades has also increased, which makes it easier.

Q. Tell us what your thought process is like when it comes to nading.

So I try to prioritize grenades when available, and when I’m in the right position to do so. If I am about to start fighting a team, I ask my teammates to move into positions to cover me. Our sniper stays at the back and provides overwatch. We make sure that we only fight in positions where the sniper can cover us. I ask one of my teammates to flank, and one to accompany me closer to the enemy compound. When I’m in tossing range, I unleash the shrapnel upon them.

But if the enemy is too close and up in my face, then I obviously prefer to use my guns. Also, it becomes a little difficult to use them indoors. If I am fighting indoors, and I see an opportunity to do so, then I hop outside, toss a few nades and then jump back inside to finish the job with my shotguns.

Q. What do your team comms sound like?

We have a certain game plan about which fights to participate in and which ones to avoid. When we decide to initiate a fight, we first discuss which areas we will fight in and which positions my teammates will take. According to that, I decide how to position myself for nading.

Q. How do you decide which fights to pick up?

We have been playing against the same top teams for quite a while now. We know what their rotation patterns are like and where they are likely to intercept other teams. So accordingly, we plan to third party them. If it is convenient for us and we can get away with murder, we engage. If we think it is risky, then we don’t overextend. We keep track of them and move into the zone, then position ourselves in order to gatekeep them as they make their way inside.

Q. You spoke about knowing the rotation patterns of these teams. Any particular teams that you stay on the lookout for?

Team Elite and TSM usually don’t stray from their paths. Their paths also don’t happen to intersect ours, so we steer clear of them during the early game. Total Gaming Esports and 4Unknown can create trouble for us, so we anticipate them. Depending on where the zone is, we decide whether to fight them or not.

Q. Which other nade specialist do you admire?

I think Taneja and RadheThakur are really good at nading. They know what they are doing. The others just toss randomly and hope it lands. But those two players are probably dangerous.

Q. What do you think about your opponents in the Grand Finals?

TSM and Team Elite won’t create problems for us even if they qualify via the Play-ins, at least not during the first few circles. Yes, but later on in the game, they are a force to be reckoned with. However, we do have plans to deal with them. Unfortunately, I cannot tell you about that plan just yet because we want to keep it a secret till the finals.

Q. What is your opinion on Desi Gamers Esports? This team topped Group A even though they were underdogs.

The gameplay of a team during the League Stages is very different from their gameplay in the finals. The pressure is high and you only have six games to prove yourself. I like the fact that new teams are coming into the scene and challenging the old guard, but I don't think they will be able to make it count in the finals. It all depends on the amount of experience and game sense they have. I doubt any team can win the first FFIC that they enter.

We are sure that Nivesh and his team’s results won’t disappoint us. We are eagerly waiting for them to compete in the Grand Finals of Free Fire India Championship 2021 Fall. If you want to see them in action, tune in to our YouTube Channel on 17th October 2021 at 6 PM IST.
