A New Platform: How FFPL different from FFIC!

We’re constantly trying to improve the Indian Free Fire esports circuit. We shattered viewership records at the recently concluded FFWS, but we are already looking ahead to the future. It’s time to start the cycle from scratch. For India, we have two major tournaments - the Free Fire Pro League and the Free Fire India Championship. But what’s the difference between the two?

Free Fire Pro League aims at giving a chance to upstarts

Eighteen teams will be competing in the FFPL 2021 Summer. Out of these eighteen teams, twelve will be invited based on their performances in the previous season of FFIC. Six teams will be chosen from the open qualifiers via FFC mode. The objective of this tournament is to give exposure to these younger teams. By making them compete against the best teams in the region, they will get a glimpse of what Free Fire is like at the highest level, and improve rapidly.

Free Fire India Championship slots are what these teams are competing for

The top 6 teams of FFPL will be invited directly to the next season of Free Fire India Championship 2021 Fall. The new talents that have been discovered during the FFPL, will get a chance to solidify their standing during the FFIC.

The stakes will be higher after the FFIC

From FFPL to FFIC, all the teams that pass through these stages of the tournament will get to show their talent against the best in the world. The top 2 teams of FFIC will be invited to the next Free Fire World Series event that will be held in November.

To sum it up, there are different levels of tournaments that we have planned for everyone. FFPL leads to FFIC, which leads to FFWS. In each stage, the level of difficulty increases as one will be facing stronger and stronger opponents, but so does the pride.

Step forth and show the world your power!
