Free Fire India Championship 2021 Spring: League Day 3 Recap

The first week of Free Fire India Championship 2021 Spring has concluded. All the teams have played 2 matchdays each. After the following matches have ended, we can see which teams are on top, which teams are close to dethroning the giants, and which one of them is in danger. Let’s take a look at what went down on Day 3.

Total Gaming - total domination & total zone prediction

Total Gaming might have had a slow start on the first day of the League Stage, but today they started off with a bang. They won the first two games of the day back-to-back. Their zone prediction was on point. In both Bermuda and Purgatory, they seemed to have the zone magnet attached to them. Wherever they went, the zone formed on top of them. Whether this was luck or skill, whether this was predicting the zone, or staying in fluid positions, we cannot really know how they pulled this off unless we get them to reveal their secrets, but it was surely impressive to see. With such a massive advantage in their favour, they had no trouble securing booyah’s back to back. Not only this, they had several top 5 finishes in other matches as well, as a result, their placement points shot up to the sky and beyond.

Survivors 4AM momentarily overtook Total Gaming

Survivors 4AM are a very aggressive and kill-heavy team. They rely on their firepower to rack up a lot of kill points and hope to overwhelm the other teams by consistently drawing first blood. In the third game on Kalahari, the zone closed a little outside of Command Post, and Survivors 4AM did a great job of manipulating the other teams into throwing their advantage away. At first, they took potshots from far away onto several teams to weaken them. Once they got into close combat situations, they used their bait-and-switch tactics to lure enemies into deadly crossfires and win the booyah. After winning the third game, they overtook Total Gaming on the overall points table (even though Total Gaming had 2 booyahs). That shows you how consistent 4AM was. Unfortunately, they couldn’t stay on top forever and Total Gaming did overtake them later on, but still, both these teams ended up earning 20 League points at the end of the day.

Galaxy Racers, Nemesis, Team Chaos also make their mark

Galaxy Racers had a great time on their previous day where they were able to mount a double booyah comeback. This time, they only got one booyah, but it was a pretty stylish one. Surprisingly, Team Nemesis and Chaos were also able to put themselves upon the board in the last two games of the day. Similar patterns followed for both teams winning booyahs in the last two games. Usually, we have seen Total Gaming go for zone prediction. But for these two teams, the key to victory was crowd control. Several teams were alive in the 4th circle, making it a very chaotic situation. The key to victory these two teams employed was that they timed their attacks well using explosives to clear out large areas. Instead of battling any particular team, they made sure that they were safe from certain areas behind them or to their sides so that they did not get sandwiched in between multiple opponents. Calmed and controlled trade fragging along with keeping a keen eye on enemy movements facilitate the last two booyah's of the day. Team Nemesis winning a game signifies that the underdogs too have a chance at challenging the big names. This makes the competition even more intense.
